When a person is not breathing, permanent brain damage begins after 4 minutes and death in 6 minutes after that. Can you count on help arriving before that time? Learning proper CPR techniques is easy and you can learn it in 30 minutes at CPR Test Center.

ECHO 1st gen randomly turns off Audio Amplifier, not lost Wi-Fi

Hi All, A friend gave me an ECHO 1st Generation that was driving them mad. At random times between a few minutes and a couple of days it turns off the audio amplifier. It does this when playing music and also when silent. You hear a speaker "pop" as it does this. It is not the volume being turned down, mute etc. The ECHO continues to listen and execute commands, I've proved this with Bluetooth controls. The ECHO remains connected to my router, I've checked the log. Amazon tech support have given up on me. I've performed 3 factory resets, firmware is up to date.
I've read some posts about connecting to the 5GHz Wi-Fi channel but I don't know how to this via the app. Not sure this will make a difference as I've had the ECHO just a couple of metres from the router.
Any ideas greatfuly received.
Thanks Rick
