When a person is not breathing, permanent brain damage begins after 4 minutes and death in 6 minutes after that. Can you count on help arriving before that time? Learning proper CPR techniques is easy and you can learn it in 30 minutes at CPR Test Center.

Alexa has "trouble accessing your calendar"
« on: January 24, 2017, 07:55:30 pm »
If I ask any of these questions:
  • Alexa, when is my next appointment?
  • Alexa, when is my next event?
  • Alexa, what’s on my calendar?
There is a long pause and then she says one of these:
  • Sorry something went wrong.
  • I’m sorry, something went wrong.
  • I’m not sure what went wrong.
There is another long pause, and then she says, "I am having trouble accessing your calendar. Please try again later."

This has been going on for several weeks.

However, she can answer these questions:
  • Alexa, what am I doing today?
  • Alexa, what am I doing at 7 pm?
  • Alexa, what’s on my calendar tomorrow?
  • Alexa, what am I doing on March first?
I must include either a date or time in my query (even if the “date” is the word “today”) or she "has trouble accessing my calendar."

It certainly seems she understands the question (she knows she is supposed to get information from my calendar), but she just can’t find the answer until I include a date or time.

I called Alexa support and they didn't have a clue. I tried unlinking and relinking my Google Calendar.
Are other people having this problem? It used to work for me.

Thanks!

I'm the original poster. My calendar has been working fine, but today Alexa prompted me to run the Alexa app (on my phone), choose Settings and then Calendar. There was a message in the app saying I need to reconnect to my calendar (I don't remember the exact words) . I clicked on the linked account, the message went away, and she can read my calendar again.

It’s odd. In my house I have 3 Echos and 1 Spot all connected to the same account. Only the Spot exhibits this bug.
