How do I disable the yellow ring on my Amazon Alexa permanently?

Hello! So we use the Alexa devices for a very long time. But one annoying thing about it? Alexa keeps showing that annoying yellow ring.

I tried disabling it by following these steps:

• Open up the Alexa app.
• Go to Settings.
• Choose Notifications.
• Select Amazon Shopping from the list.
• Disable all the options.

but it did not work. First of all, I thought this was from Amazon Shopping, until it was from the Amazon and other amazon related stuff.


How do I disable this? Thanks in advance!

About the only thing I can think of, is to glue some black vinyl or electrical tape over the lighted area... however it is also a troubleshooting aid and indicator of things you may find yourself regretful of hiding permanently. I'd probably suggest getting a different Echo product that isn't as "ugly" to you, such as an Echo Spot, Or echo show15... I don;t even know if the Spot is available new, but can probably be had used or open box if you look around a bit. I don;t know, but the Echo show smaller items may be less obtrusive as well... I just don't have anything other than the suggested items to offer up as less boisterous for notifications.

did you try asking for your messages?   

you can try disabling all your notifications.   then turn them back on one at a time until you find the one causing the light.    This will be a long process.

You can also ask Alexa, what does your light mean?

A slow yellow burst, every few seconds, means that Alexa has a message or notification, or there's a reminder you missed. Say, "What are my notifications?" or "What are my messages?"

This has happened to some of my Echoes in the past. It is usually a notification that Amazon just delivered a package to my door. Although I have all notifications turn off, every now and then package notifications get turned on without my permission. Odd...
