How to use phone as an Alexa remote
« on: December 27, 2018, 12:45:20 am »
I want my Amazon Echo to repeat what I say with the “Simon Says...” command but I don’t know how to tell it that without the remote that costs $20.  Is there a way I can connect my echo to my phone to listen for commands?

Use your alexa app? The icon in the middle.
If you really need to hear alexa from your echo not your phone, connect both using bt.

Amazing how some people still didn't know about that alexa button on alexa app. It's been there for almost a year now I think.

There's a lot of limit on that Alexa button though. But Simon says can be done.

FYI this one is not hands free. Just like the remote you need to always press the button to give a.command.
