Power in EU
« on: March 04, 2016, 08:23:19 am »
Hi everyone

I hope someone can help me - I have purchased an Echo from eBay, and will be taking it with me to Spain.  What will I need in terms of power - just a US to Spain plug adaptor, or will I need a power converter?

Thanks

The power adapter included with the Echo is the universal voltage kind; 100 to 240 volts AC.  I run mine here on 220 volt AC with just a plug adapter; they use 2 round posts here and the adapter has the American standard 2 flat blades.

Test your Echo before you leave.  If you bought it from eBay, it might have been registered to someone else, and you will have to figure out how to deregister it and register it for your account.

Will do.  Says it's new and boxed though. Here's hoping.

OK, just hope you didn't buy it for more than Amazon sells their own product for ($180) I see them for sale at eBay for $200!

You can use a mechanical adaptor from US to Spain (the plug could use 110-240V)
OR
you can buy a amazon replacement plug for the "FireTV Box Gen2" which is the same plug
for the EU :)
