Suggestion for Echo timer upgrade
« on: February 28, 2016, 01:44:36 am »
It would be nice it you could set an echo timer and tell it what it was for. Like "set a timer to take statin at 10AM". And at 10AM have echo say "time to take statin" or something like that.

I use the echo timers and alarms for health reminders all the time.

that would be a great feature.  It would be nice to get auto reminders prior to events or activities or popping pills.

Yes, we should be able to tell Alexa to tell me at 10pm to take a statin pill. etc).  Basically, it should be able to tell us anything. The darn thing can talk, so (instead of a timer sound) why can't it be programmed to do that simple sort of task and just tell us?  Instead, there are lots of useless "skills" elsewhere we can select from.
A good idea: I will submit it Amazon; feel free to do same.

Maybe all we need is a good "tell me" skill or perhaps an IF recipe. Are there any?
