Echo Show & Bluetooth Option on App
« on: February 20, 2018, 04:10:58 pm »
Hello all.  Just curious.  When I added a regular Echo (gen 2) and two echo dots it shows on the setting menu in the app an option for Bluetooth.  However, when I added a recently purchased Echo Show, there is no Bluetooth option on the app menu.

I can easily connect to my Denon receiver no problem using the regular Echo.  It simply finds the Bluetooth device no problem.  When I try with the Echo Show it simply can't find it.  So, Alexa suggested I do so form the app which as stated above doesn't have a Bluetooth option in the App.

I am using the iOS version of the Alexa app from my iPhone.

I don't believe Echo Show can do outgoing bluetooth.  Only incoming- using it as a speaker for your phone for instance.

You need to do it from the settings on the device itself. Put your speaker into pairing mode and then swipe down from the top of the screen on the Echo Show, then select Settings > Bluetooth. Your speaker show show as an available device on the screen, tapping on it will pair and connect to the speaker.
