Problems playing Spotify playlists

I am noticing some frustrating Alexa behaviour and I wonder if anyone has any advice.  I have a playlist called David Byrne.  This playlist is in my iTunes playlist section of my Spoitify app.  So I ask Alexa to play David Byrne and she responds, "playing David Byrne from Spotify", but then silence. 

In another case, I have a playlist on Spotify (not the iTunes section) called Britpop Etc.  So I ask for that, it plays, but only one song and then stops.  Both these things have happened before with other playlists, so it's not specific to just these ones.

Any idea what is going on?

So they work OK when listened to directly from Spotify app?

What seems to work best for me is this format:
Alexa, shuffle playlist <playlist name> from spotify

I'm going slightly off topic here but I noticed that asking "Alexa, shuffle Discover Weekly (on Spotify)" would always start with the same song 
Same goes for any other Spotify playlist.
Not a real shuffle to say the least...
Anyone else noticed ?
