most times I am... I always have been a tinkerer and like to mess with technology even if its brand new.  I purchased the echo in November of 2015 but had I known about the device earlier, I likely would have been part of the pre-purchase group.

Absolutely!  Sometimes I get into trouble-hard drives crash. etc... but yes- I love seeking out new tech and being a Beta tester.
