Dot works but stopped speaking

My Dot has worked flawlessly for 2 months, answering questions and controlling smart devices. Today she stopped speaking. She still hears and carries out commands, but no sound from Alexa and, of course, no questions answered. Mute is not on. Any ideas?

This simple solution can work miracles to unscramble it's feeble little brain:

Unplug it for FIVE minutes, then plug it back in and see how it goes.  It needs an electronic lobotomy; seriously.  Report back here with the results, please.
