It emits at 5GHz, which is DOUBLE microwave oven frequency. It also emits 2.4GHz, EXACTLY microwave oven frequency, so yes, it does slowly cause brain cancer, especially because unlike oven, it has NO SHIELDING!!!

Most of us here think BRAIN CANCER is worth the convenience of turning off the lights while in bed.

You'll have to choose which you want.

The above comment is total BS. THE SUN emits more harmful radiation than a Dot or an Echo, OR a wireless router, or a radio or a TV, etc, etc.  The best advice for you given was to call Amazon if you have any concerns, and shame on you iolinux333 for such an irresponsible and uninformed comment.

not me, I had to go back and read that post  :-)  Personally I am not totally sure that was a real question.  I mean if the person has a cell phone and wireless router, then it should be apparent the echo is safe.

Agree, we would think so, but who knows what is real and not today!  ;)

It doesn't sound too good that way!  Even uglier, too.  Not to mention wi-fi signals are blocked. :D
