Attaching Echo to the Wall, BUT...
« on: January 03, 2017, 01:47:20 pm »
Amazon says (for best performance/connectivity) you should "place your device in a central location (at least eight inches from any walls and windows).  Yet they (Amazon and others) make brackets to attach it to a wall  ???  One of my Dots is sitting in a window sill.  Humm, maybe that's why it can't finish a game of 20 Questions  >:(
This may be old news to most of you..

Where have you seen a wall-mount made by Amazon?

I have one that is attached to the wall.  no problems.  But I also have some overlap with my two other echos.    I guess it really depends upon how much you want to cover with one echo as to whether or not you want to mount on a wall.   Also remember the microphones is at the top to there will still be several inches between the echos microphone and the wall mount.    The dot is another story  :-)

Ohh, you're right.  What I thought was part of the bracket (Amazon logo), wasn't.  Sorry.

Nothing to be sorry about.  I just thought I was missing something...which happens more and more often the further I get past 50.  ;)
