Hue scenes as devices
« on: December 03, 2016, 04:29:29 pm »
Greetings!  First time poster here having just installed an echo, echo dot, Hue system and one Wemo switch.  My question has to do with the Phillips Hue system.  There are many scenes that I just won't use.  I realize that I can 'Forget' them in my device list but then, every time I discover new devices, I have to go back in and 'forget' them again.  With three phillips hue bulbs, that's a lot of 'devices' to forget.  Is there a way to 'forget' them so they are not rediscovered?

I just figured out my own answer.  In the Phillips Hue app, press and hold on a scene and it goes into edit mode just like iOS.  Tap the 'X' and the scene disappears.  Now, when I search for devices, those scenes will not reappear in Alexa.

Took me a while to figure that one out too ;)  Very frustrating at first, but once sorted, I'm very happy.
