I bought a Vizio TV early last year and successfully connected it up to Alexa using the Vizio Smartcast skill. Fast forward about 15 months and it stopped working with Alexa, in fact the skill wasn't even under "my skills" anymore. So, I (re)enabled the Vizio smartcast skill and after I put in my login credentials (which I tested on the web) I always get the "we were unable to link Vizio SmartCast at this time, please try again later" message.
Anyone know have any ideas?

might need to contact the skills developer. there is always a chance the still is no longer supported for your specific tv.

I actually just fixed it. Turns out that I had to do the exact same thing I was trying to do on the desktop instead of using the phone, which was to link this skill via my vizio account. For some reason it was/does not work on my android phone but worked right off using the desktop/browser.
