Ask Alexa if she can whisper... or just ask her a question while whispering.

ok thanks. I thought there might be other ways. It doesn't seem to be working for me yet.
Do we know if the Promised October release of Whisper mode actually took place?
I'm in NY and I thought I heard that it was available?
Has this Mode been released yet?

Has This been released yet?
If so is there a setting I need to check off or option to select or dos it just work once its been released?

I am in NY and I have whisper mode. I asked my echo show 2nd gen “can you whisper” and it activated.

Whisper is an account setting, so it needs to be turned on in the Alexa App under Settings → Alexa Account → Alexa Voice Responses → Whispered Responses.
Whisper Mode can also be enabled by voice, simply by saying “Alexa, turn on whisper mode.”

I looked in the settings the other day and couldn't find it to I said "Alexa, enable whisper mode" and she did. I just tried it for the first time. Just don't thank her! After she whispered the time, I whispered back, "thank you". She said "NO WORRIES!!!" :o
