Title: Echo only pairs with Bluetooth Speakers. Anyway it can pair with wifi speakers?
Post by: SCGH on July 14, 2017, 07:30:03 am
Hi.

I have a number of Wifi Speakers.  I want to play music on these speakers by giving commands to Echo.

But Echo won't pair with Wifi speakers (only works with Bluetooth, and possibly Bose Wifi?), despite it being a wifi device itself.

Does anyone know why it won't?  Could a new firmware update in the future fix this?

And does anyone know of a device I could use that could bridge the gap - convert the Bluetooth signal into Wifi?

I know the Echo Dot has a 3.5mm audio out, but there are many limitations using this work-around.

Thanks

Gp into the Alexa app.  Check your bluetooth & wi-fi settings for your speakers.  Make sure they are paired and properly named.
