Title: Help a noobie? Getting lamps on a timer
Post by: PsychoTeapot on February 26, 2017, 11:01:44 am
Please can anyone help?
I've got a lizard in a vivarium and want to get Alexa to turn on the lamps at 0700hrs and off again at 1900hrs. I'm using the Kasa app with TP-Link smart plugs. And I can't find any way of setting a timer to do what I want every day. Am I being stupid? Wouldn't be the first time! So I'm hoping some brains here may help solve the problem.

Thanks!

Think of Alexa as a voice remote.  ;)
Set the smart plugs schedules (timers ) with the Kasa app.

HOW STUPID AM I?????
I spent ten minutes "chatting" to Alexa to try and get her to do this. But you're right: in the Kasa app I can set up schedules in under ten seconds and now I'm sorted. Thanks, tuicemen!
