Amazon Echo Discussion / Notification after power outage
« Last post by lllombardi on August 14, 2021, 05:21:50 pm »
Is there a way to create a routine to notify in my cellphone that the power went back after an outage?
Of course, when the power fails, everything is disconnected. When the power went back, Echo Dot will re-start and after that must have a way to create a notification. The sequence should be like this:
-   Power outage and everything power off, including Alexa;
-   Power went back and Alexa is reconnecting the WiFi and Internet;
-   In this moment (or after it) Alexa should create a notification like this: “Alexa was reconnected” or anything that you want to write.

HI - new to the forums.

I am using an Alexa auto in my car in conjunction with my Nokia 6.1 ( android 11 )

Everything works fine - except - the in call volume is very low??

If I turn up the volume to properly hear the call, when alexa switches back to music , I am deafened!

ANy ideas?  ( I have already switched on ;Disable absolute volume in developer options )

I think only the ring alarm system will detect the other sounds when linked to guard.

Amazon Echo Discussion / Re: How to command standby mode?
« Last post by renegade600 on August 14, 2021, 10:21:43 am »
It is normal to connect after being powered off.  It has to connect to your wifi, then has to connect to the cloud and who knows what else before going live.   There is no standby mode on alexa devices other than just waiting for the wake word.   No reason to power off at the end of the day.   Someone else will have to answer about power consumption.
Businesses that want to capitalize on the power of their mobile device need to understand the differences between mobile enterprise apps and simple, business-oriented apps by While many mobile enterprise services offer many of the same features and functionalities as other, more popular apps, it is important to make sure the one being selected is specifically designed to meet the specific needs of the organization. Enterprise mobile apps should help improve productivity, streamline workflow, and reduce costs. These are some of the reasons why businesses choose to have custom mobile apps developed for their enterprise cell phones instead of using more affordable third party solutions. It is important to note, though, that most third party mobile app development services offer both third party and custom apps at the same reasonable prices.
Amazon Echo Discussion / How to command standby mode?

3 questions on Echo 4th gen.

1)   I just purchased an Echo 4th gen. I noticed when I powered up, it will take a while before Alexa can receive command. Is that normal?
2)   Is it good practice to turn off the main power at the end of the day? Is there a standby mode? If there is, what is the proper command? I say Alexa “standby”she dont understand.
3)   What is the power consumption in wattage when playing?
