Title: Echo Connect in Canada
Post by: rob99 on March 23, 2018, 05:43:26 pm
Has anybody managed to get an echo connect to work in Canada ?

It is not a choice when looking to set up a new item but will set up just by setting up as an echo.  It is then recognized and  registered as an echo connect but the problem I have had so far is that although it will report that there is  an incoming call and say who it is from I cannot get it to answer by giving the answer command to my echo.

I can however use my landline to dial out calls by asking my echo to call.

Did you manage to get your Echo Connect working in Canada?

Or find out why it wasn't working?

Well, got an Echo Connect from the US and tried to use it here and after choosing Echo Connect in Add Echo devices, it then ask me (again) to choose a device to set up but this time, Echo Connect is not there. Whatever I choose there, brings me to another page that ask me to set up Alexa Calling and Messaging (which is already set up) before using Echo Connect and at the bottom of that page, it says "Echo Connect is not supported"  :(

Sucks :(

I also bought Echo Buttons which are also not supported (does pair but doesn't show as a supported device when creating a routine :(

Double sucks  >:(
