Title: Using Google Search
Post by: Jermil on December 26, 2016, 01:40:48 pm
I love my Echo but I hate Bing; it often doesn't know the answer to basic questions. I assume Amazon has a contract with Microsoft for search.
Has anyone yet figured out how write a skill that would enable search on Google? Is there any other way to access Google on my Echo?
I also listed this as a request to Amazon.

I'm a bit new to this and wasn't aware of any web searching.  How do I access this?

It's automatic.  When you as Alexa a question, it'll do a web search.  Just look at your Alexa app and it'll show the question and how it searched Bing.

I wish I could switch the search engine to google too.  Bing is terrible!
