Title: Flash Briefing adding unwanted content
Post by: celkins on February 22, 2020, 12:15:25 pm
For the past couple of weeks, at the end of my flash briefing (NPR News Now and then the local weather), Alexa is adding new, unwanted content. This occurs after the local weather. Alexa introduces these as "Here are some stories from other sources" or something similar. I switched from NPR News to BBC World Service and then Al Jazeera Briefing, but the same thing happens. Is anyone having this issue? If so, Amazon should realize that some of us don't want more than what we ask for. This is a bug, not a feature.

it happened to me not too long ago.  It quit doing it on its own after saying no a few times.

I've also noticed Alexa started adding extra things after her responses. This started about 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Before, if I asked for the time Alexa would just tell me the time. And that was it. Now, she'll tell me the time and then add "Have a nice day" or something like that. I wish Alexa would just give me the answer I want and cut out of extra junk.
