Title: Streaming audio without turning off Echo's internal speaker?

I wonder, is it possible to have the Echo Dot use its internal speaker for normal responses but use the stereo mini plug output for streaming audio purposes? When you play music through it and the amplifier is on that's fine but you may not want to have that amplifier on all the time.
