What are you saying to Alexa to play your tunes? When you have multiple music services, you should add "... from Deezer or Spotify" at the end of your request. E.g. Alexa, play Lady Gaga from Spotify. If you don't specify what music service you want, Alexa will choose one for you and it might not be the one you want.

I love my music.

i have deezer ( mainly for car ) and Spotify for home.

Both premium.

So, recently I thought I would add add  my Spotify service to the echo auto in my car.
Went fine on the Alexa app - but  using both services seems very hit and miss?
Anyone else experienced this?
I have uninstalled/ installed the apps ( and alexa ) several times.
Sometimes Deezer will work  OTB, yet Spotify says to ''restart the app''??
Other times it is reversed?
Sometimes, Spotify or Deezer refuses to be the default player.
I think the problem seems to stem from trying to use another music service whilst another one is playing- alexa gets a bit confused.
I have found that if . for example I am playing tracks on deezer, and want to then play the next track on Spotify, I need to ask alexa to stop the Deezer track and then I ask for a track from Spotify.
This seems to work most of the time.

Anyone else had this sort of thing? ( I realise two premium music services is a bit OTT, but I do love my music:-)

Amazon Echo Discussion / Alexa Video Calls on Windows ARM
« Last post by PerCuriam on January 08, 2022, 01:46:04 pm »
I am unable to use the communication features in the Alexa app on Windows ARM installed via Parallels on a M1 Mac Air, including calling, video calls or drop in. The call/video window will open up and the green webcam light will illuminate but it won’t connect. Eventually Alexa might say the contact is unavailable. All other Alexa features are functional in the app.

I am able to drop in, video call, etc. through the Alexa app on a Windows PC, iOS, and iPad.

This occurs in the Windows 10 and 11 ARM versions.

Any ideas what might be causing the issue and possible fix?
Amazon Echo Discussion / Suggested for You Screen, Please Go Away
« Last post by glmoore0001 on January 08, 2022, 01:33:50 pm »
In the Alexa app/shopping screen on my Galaxy S20fe.. When I hit "Add Item" It pops open a "suggested for you" screen. I do not use this screen. I found a setting I thought would disable, but it did not make it go away. The worst thing about the screen is, if I am trying to input different items I cannot see what I have it already entered on my list. I have to go out of "Add Item" to make it go away.
It has really taken the usefulness out of this part of the app for me.
Can anyone tell me how to make "suggested for you" screen permanently go away?
Thanks.. Gary
Yeah, all but a few commands put into a routine are loaded at the top, but you'll notice a couple of horizontal bars for each item on the right hand side (like an = sign).  You can 'grab' that and drag the item to anywhere you want in the sequence of the routine.  'Wait' commands are amongst the few loaded at the bottom, but they can still be re-positioned.

By using that, you can set the order of events in your routine to your satisfaction.
For some reason Alexa won't allow placement of the off command after a wait. Puts it before.
