Google Home / love the way things work sometimes
« Last post by renegade600 on November 18, 2024, 10:13:48 am »Here I am relaxing in the recliner and decided to set a timer for something. I have one mini, six foot from me and another about eight both in direct line of sight. Guess which one responds? The hub in the back bedroom about 30 foot way, in a far corner that is not in line of sight. Oh well, I guess the other two just wanted to sleep a bit longer.
Just got to remember to keep the bedroom door shut so it don't happen.
I am not blaming google because alexa does the same thing when I leave the bedroom door open, and I have three of them close to the recliner. I guess it has something to do with the layout of the apartment and the ceiling fan :-)

The amazon support has no solution other than keeping the account of my EX.
Without concern we initially used her amazon account jointly.
The problem is that I manage our divorce without help in 60 days but Amazon doesn't plan for this.
Any practical suggestion would be great.
Whenever I try to make a change to some base setting amazon requires owner permission and I get either stuck or have to answer questions from her to get approval.
The amazon support has no solution other than keeping the account of my EX.

Got tired of having to charge them all the time and the last time I wore the 2nd gen frames, it only got two hours before charging. I did not get the third generation because of all the changes they made.
I now wear Lucyd and they last well over ten hours before needing charging. Since it has the ability to listen to one arm at a time, it should last all day. Now, if Amazon Echo Frames lasted that long, I am pretty sure their sales would skyrocket.

« Last post by renegade600 on November 07, 2024, 07:11:27 pm »THX for the tip. I had similar adds showing up suddenly on my echo show when just scrolling my favorite photos on the home screen. I found 3 additional skills that I hadn't added myself. This is becoming really a nuisance and let me regret to even have bothered to add the show unit for my doorbell. (As I meanwhile discovered, the latency is so bad and my dog is my more effective announcer of people not even have gotten into the courtyard yet.)
I agree, it is a nuisance. Just an additional place to check after home content on the show and the different settings in the app. Wonder what will be next.
