Title: Xmas Music on Echo

Is there anyway to stop Alexa playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving, the wife who is awesome, has started with teh Christmas music already!!!

Change the wake word to Echo and don't tell her.  :P

Yeah, the problem is not with the Echo- the problem is with your wife!

It may not be entirely his wife's fault. When I ask Alexa (using Amazon Music Unlimited) to "play Tony Bennett," "play Nat King Cole," and "play Bing Crosby," Alexa responds that it is "shuffling songs by ______" and then plays a Christmas song first for all three. Amazon may be weighting its selections in favor of songs it considers seasonally appropriate. Or maybe it's weighting toward the most popular songs, and I'd get the same results at any time of the year. In any event, it seems likely that some kind of weighting is going on, and "shuffle" is not purely random. I should experiment with some other performers who have a Christmas album.
