Title: New wake word....Calypso
Post by: seba on April 09, 2016, 03:51:11 pm
It has been reported that there might be a new wake word, Calypso, and is working even if you have alexa as wake word.
I was not able to test this yet as my son is sleeping but will try it first thing tomorrow.

I tried it, too.  It responds intermittently, and my guess is it's a bug.  There are likely plenty of words it could respond to.  So, who wants to volunteer to sit down and read the Webster's dictionary to the Echo?  Not me.

Even if true (and I suspect this is more of one of those random bug things rather than a real wake word) it's a terrible word.

We need more two syllable wake up words, not more three syllable ones.
