Title: Shared Reminders Multi Echo's
Post by: batescr on June 09, 2017, 01:43:02 pm
Fairly new to the Alexa/Echo world.

If you have multiple echo's in a home can you set up a reminder on one and both of them see the reminder and remind you at the specific time?

Nope, although you can set a reminder on each, and that should work fine.

it would be great to have reminders that would work across several echos and dots.  the thing about the current setup is you must stay close to where you can hear it without having to go to each one individual and set up a reminder.

It would be nice to have an option for reminders to be sent to multiple devices, but personally I'm not interested as my account also includes a device at my daughter's house, and also one at my luddite sister's.  Hm... that's got me thinking, maybe reminders to all devices using the same network settings?

I suppose one way to handle this would be to have an option for device groups and assign devices into particular groups. A reminder set on a device in a device group could then apply to all devices in the same group. This would avoid issues with one account having devices at multiple addresses.
