Title: Choosing Unlimited Songs via Alexa app
Post by: Grovers on February 21, 2017, 11:55:38 am
Hi all,

Is there a way on the Alexa app or Unlimited app I can select a song by typing it's title to play on the Echo? All I see on Alexa are play lists and stations. The Unlimited app doesn't seem to let me choose to play on the Echo.

Spotify worked a treat. So I know all is connected fine.

Cheers for any help.

You can type in, search for songs, on the Amazon Music app and then add them to a playlist. Then you can ask Echo to play your playlist.

After all... the whole point is to use voice control.

We don't have a Unlimited app here in the States. I take it you're in the UK?

If you've added songs, albums, etc to your library in the Amazon Music app, you can then search from them in the Alexa app. Amazon Music needs to be your default music service. In the Alexa app, go to Music & Books -> My Music Library and search. It'll bring up matching items from your library.

If you're trying this out be aware it can take a good few minutes from the songs being added to your library before Alexa is aware of them.
