I recently purchased an echo Connect in an attempt to connect my cell phone to the Echo so i can call and receive calls. Unfortunately it only accepts an RJ45 (phone jack) as the input. Is there another program or gadget that will allow me to connect my android phone to alexa and use it similarly to the Connect?

You need to have landline to use connect as far as I know. As for what you want, you can connect them via BT. you still have to use your phone every time too though. In my case I can still do it hands free via Google Assistant.
Actually with this setup you can use any BT speaker or actually any speaker for that matter.
That's why I don't see the point of connect. I mean who still uses landline.

Amazon deliberately refuses to allow Bluetooth speakerphone connection so they can promote their own calling service.

Oh wow tried on mine and yap it doesn't work as speaker phone via BT I wonder if it is the same via aux.
You can do it on any BT speaker though.
