Title: Offset Calendar times

I received a gen 2 Echo from my son as a gift.  I'm still trying to figure out how to get it to work with my Apple centric world.  I sync my calendars with iCloud.  When I ask Alexa what is on my schedule, the events are all there on all calendars, but the times for the events are all off by 6 hours.  I live in CT in Wisconsin.  I've searched everywhere to try and discover where Alexa is changing the time zone, but have been unsuccessful.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
