Title: Reminder Volume
Post by: bitstopjoe on August 06, 2018, 12:06:57 pm
Asking for my buddy Bob. He needs a reminder every Monday morning at 8am. I know he can set an alarm, but he wants a reminder instead. He listens to his Dot at night at a very low volume listening to music. Sadly at 8am the volume of the reminder does not wake him up as it is still low. The only volume adj I see is for alarms and notification ( I had ASSUMED a reminder IS a notification, I guess Alexa doesnt think so.)
I told him I would ask the smart people on the net, but since I lost that web address I am asking here instead, HA....Kidding.

 Thank you

You can always set up a routine to change the volume at a specific time.

In the Alexa app, bring up the menu and tap Routines.
Tap "+" to add a new routine.
For When this happens, choose Schedule and set the desired time.
For Add action, choose Audio Control and set your desired volume.

You can create multiple routines for various times of day or night. So for your buddy, just create a routine to set the volume some time before 8am.

Thank you. I will let him know. Appreciate the reply and suggestion.
