I have children who need quiet music at nap and I want to set up a weekly alarm that lasts 2 1/2 hrs.
I want to choose a playlist on my iPhone.  *grr*. I just can't figure it out. I followed a link in Apple discussions but there is only a choice for Apple Podcasts.  Why can't I choose a playlist on my phone?

If it is always the same bulb, there is probably something wrong with it. I suggest you go to the shop you bought it from and ask for a refund.

on what radio service?   you either need a skill for specific stations or signed into a service like iheartradio to play your stations.

I opened a NEW account while in the Philippines as I could not connect to my account in the UK
No problems, all went well, until I asked "Alexa play SMOOTH RADIO"
"I cant find smooth radio"

This went on and on with all the radio stations I used to play in the UK, but now alexa cant find the same station while i reside in Philippines

I assumed alexa connected to the WWW and could play ALL stations/music etc from wherever in the world

Brought alexa's (3) registered in UK
Moved to Philippines, could not change my telephone# with amazon as I didnt have a new sim card until I landed in Phlippines.
Got my new sim went online to change the number and amazon said "for security we have sent a code to ....3452"
thats my OLD tel #

I have tried every way to contact customer services to change my tel #....but each time i get a security message "To proceed to customer servces we have sent a code to 3452"

So how can I contact customer services to change my tel #

Hello,

I am new to the forum and new to Alexa. I just purchased two echo dots mostly for the purpose of controlling my tv’s. I own a Samsung Series 7 65 inch (2019), and a Samsung Series 8 50 inch (2020). The series 8 has Alexa built in, the series 7 does not.

By registering the series 7 TV on the Samsung Smart Things app, and linking Smart Things to the Alexa app I was able to easily set up complete voice control of the series 7 from echo dot 1. No issues.

The problem: I attempted to set up the series 8 via the built in Alexa voice assistant, but the only voice command that seems to work is turn off tv. It won’t turn on the tv, or change channels despite the fact the voice assistant responds saying it is tuning to the requested channel. It doesn’t.

I then tried to connect the series 8 TV to the second echo dot via the Smart Things app in the same way I successfully connected the series 7 TV. No dice. Again the only command the echo dot will perform is turn off TV.

This is very frustrating since the older TV is working with Alexa flawlessly butn the newer TV is not. I have read on the Samsung forum that several people have run into issues with the Samsung series 8 and Alexa. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks!

I have several routines that display my Ring cameras when there is motion detected on one of them and then displays the video on my Fire TV. They stopped working this morning and I have narrowed it down to an announcement in the routine that says motion detected in backyard. If I remove that the routine works fine. With it in the routine, it makes the announcement and then the routines stop's and never show the video on my TV. If I use Alexa says it works but I don't get to pick which device it is announced on. Any ideas, Firmware update?

The Factory reset was a fail....and I did realize that more than one of the dots is doing the same thing at the same time...so it seems like there HAS to be something set up for 6:09am....but I'll be darned if I can find it.  I may end up doing a factory reset on all of them to see if that helps, or does nothing at all...lol
