Title: 2 wifi networks on Alexa?
Post by: Ashnook on September 06, 2021, 07:30:27 am
How can I add another wifi network to my Alexa's?

I have one wifi network for the house and another for my garage but Alexa won't work in the garage. Can I add the garage network to my Alexa account?

Thanks, Brian

Yep, you sure can. Just set it up again using the new Wifi. Keep in mind that you should connect your smart phone to the same Wifi when you are setting it up, otherwise it'll just go back to the original one.

You may have to tell Alexa in the garage to connect to the extra wifi. I have a 2.4ghz network that is for my smart bulbs, and a 5 ghz for all other Alexa activities.  I have to make sure both my Echos are connected to the same network to stream music through my combined speakers group.

However, do you really want them on separate wifi networks?  Is your problem really that you need a combined speaker group, or that the garage needs it's own router?
