Google is developing a miniature version of its Google Home smart speaker that could be unveiled as early as this fall, according to an Android Police report Monday.

I read about that last night. I guess that would mean a weaker speaker?

...or that ;)

I will pass; bought the Home for its somewhat better speaker, so who needs a Home that sounds as bad as a Dot? Have enough Dots for the house anyway.
-
Just an uneducated guess but I think it will sound better than the Dot but not as good as the full size GH.
The reason for buying one is for the much better search engine.

I will stay with the Dot. It might not sound as good as the GH Mini might, but more of the Dot's music is free, and there is lots more to listen to.
Hmm, this sounds like the old joke about staying in the summer resorts of the Catskills:
"The food is terrible . . . AND, they give you such BIG portions!"

I won't be getting a GH Mini for music. It will be a bonus if it sounds better than the Dot tho.

they look like small round beanbags :-) I doubt I would get one - the dots are plenty
