Hi Smart Home Assistant users,
I'm Tianzhi from Virginia Tech here seeking participants in an interesting online survey.
For most of the time in the interaction between our smart home devices, we are only giving commands to the virtual assistant (Alexa) but not getting any feedback or suggestions from them. What if there is a smart home assistant that can give you suggestions on energy-saving and help you reduce expenses in daily life?
The research team from Virginia Tech is studying smart home applications for energy-efficient operations. This study will explore how occupants interact with proactive smart home systems. The study will involve an online survey session (approximately 15-20 minutes in length). Participants need to be above 18 years old and speak English. The study is under the supervision of the Virginia Tech Institutional Review Board (IRB), the IRB number is 20-297.
