Post by: squirrellydw on July 16, 2016, 01:52:10 pm
Will this work to control my ceiling fan and if I use LIFX bulbs in my light on the fan I should be able to control those also correct?

I have one of those switches and it works quite well, allowing me to control my fan via my Smartthings hub and, by extension, my Echos.  Be aware that the switch requires a neutral wire, so be sure that your wiring includes one.

I'm not quite certain what you're asking with regards to your LIFX bulbs, but the switch will control only the fan.

The switch will turn on, off and change speeds correct?

As for the LIFX bulbs, since they don't require a hub I should be able to have them in a group and use Echo to turn them on and off I think

Yep.  It's a 3-speed switch.

That's correct.
