Title: Phone Sounds on Echo
Post by: MrGloverLover on October 11, 2018, 05:27:46 pm
Hi everyone

I bought my first Echo today (2nd gen) and it's great, easy to set up and very useful already.

My only issue is that all sounds on my mobile phone also happen on my Echo.  Is there any way of stopping this?  I've looked but cannot find a resolution.

For instance any apps on my phone that have notifications will interrupt music/radio etc. on the Echo.  Even the shutter sound on my phone's camera appears on the Echo.  If the only solution is to turn my phone to silent then so be it, however that isn't ideal.

Also is there a way to watch streaming media on my phone without the sound playing on my Echo?  I've turned off the autoplay on Facebook and Twitter as that was stopping the Echo constantly but I might want to watch a quick video while listening to the radio on the Echo.

Sorry if this has already been answered previously but I appreciate any help.

Thanks
Matt

Sounds as if the two devices are connected by Bluetooth. Try unpairing them.
