I am looking to buy the new echo plus and wonder how many smart devices can connect to this.
anyone know?
-
Probably more than you would ever want to buy. Really.
-
it is really a good question since some of the hubs like hue and wink have limitations as to the number of devices you can add.
-
I fed up with needing so many smart hubs to make smart devices to work.
Imaging at least total of 4-5 hubs for lights, plugs, remote, thermostats, security sensors, security camera etc.
From my finding,
• Philips Hub Bridge can support up to 63 lights. https://developers.meethue.com/content/63-lights-limit
• Logitech Harmony Hub is up to 15 devices( I saw the harmony hub can also connect to other devices) https://support.myharmony.com/en-us/compatibility
Please feel free to add more.
BTW, does it mean that this New Echo Plus is working like a Samsung SmartThings hub?

Will not work like smart things hub. It has only a Zigbee antenna, no Zwave.
Crazy! They could have added Z wave. Maybe suckering us for another purchase down the road?
