Title: How to get back to Alexa "good morning" default
Post by: Abilene on August 17, 2019, 08:02:23 pm
Hello.  I'm a rank newbie not only to these forums but to Echo and Alexa.  I like the "native" good morning where Alexa provides an interesting fact for the day.  I foolishly said "yes" when she asked if I wanted to hear a comedian.  Now that is all I get.  What command do I give her to get back to her regular "good morning".  Many thanks.

All I can think of doing is re-setting. That is what I would do.

Thanks.  I used the command "reset good morning" and she said she didn't know that.  What else can I try?

I meant to try re-setting your device i.e. To reset your device without losing your smart home device connections, press and hold the Action button for 20 seconds. Wait for the light ring to turn off and on again.

Thank you.  I asked on that same forum yesterday and a kind person told me to say, "Alexa I miss your good mornings".  And it worked.  She's back to her "default" and no resetting needed.
I do wish there was a place to go with the commands listed.  This trial and error business is time consuming and at times frustrating.

Glad it got sorted out.  Yes we have to ask for solutions and hope for the best. I learned from your question when Alexa asked if I wanted to listen to some comedian and  I shrieked "no!"  lol
