Title: Why tapping the top can't silence the speaker?

I saw in you tube by tapping the top the speaker can be silence. Why my echo 4 didn't response to that?

Not all Echo devices support tapping on the top to silence it. I know that the Echo Show 5 supports it. I don't know about any other models.

The you tube I saw was echo 4.
