Hi,
I have an echo and I can connect the echo to my phone's hotspot (the phone that I am using to set up the Echo) without having any additional hotspot or phone.
I am wondering if any other 3rd party Alexa speakers have this feature?

if they connect to wifi, they should connect to your hotspot.

Do I need a second phone acting as a hotspot?
I know that I don't need the second phone acting as a hotspot using echo dot.
But I can't find any 3rd party speakers have this feature.

if speakers does not have the ability to cnnect, then it cannot be done. if bluetooth, you should be able to connect to phone which is connected to the hotspot.

Are you talking about Bluetooth speakers or are you referring to Echo devices as Alexa speakers?
In your original post, you asked about "3rd party Alexa speakers." If you want a non-Amazon Alexa device (i.e. 3rd party Alexa speaker), the most popular one is the Bose Home Speaker 300. It costs about $200.

If you want a Bluetooth speaker that works with Echo devices, then just about any Bluetooth speaker should work. Bluetooth does not require Wifi and will not work over Wifi. Even if you were not using a hotspot and you were using a traditional Wifi router, Echo devices do not connect to speakers over Wifi. It's either direct connect via an audio cable or wireless via Bluetooth.
