Title: Phillips Hue lights didn't work for me
Post by: Kyle76 on November 18, 2016, 01:53:40 pm
I didn't realize that the hub for this system has to be plugged directly into the network router.  This is impossible for me to do at my office, where I wanted to use these bulbs.  Is there another system where this is not necessary or where Alexa "talks" directly to the bulbs?

You can use wifi bulbs like TP-Link Smart LED Bulbs.

Are you saying that your office isn't wired for ethernet at all, or just that there's something else preventing you from using a wired connection?

The office has wifi, but they're not going to let me connect a device to the router.
