Title: Alarm goes off 7 hours early
Post by: Pampurrs on July 17, 2017, 10:59:34 am
I've been trying to troubleshoot why my alarm (Echo Dot) doesn't go off, I discovered that it is actually going off, but seven (7) hours earlier than I set it for.  Yes, EXACTLY seven (7) hours early.  IE: if I set it for 7:00 am, it goes off at midnight.  If I set it for 2:00 pm, it goes of at 7:00 am, etc...

I ask Alexa what time it is, and she responds with the correct time.  But for some reason, the alarms go off seven (7) hours early.  Very odd.

Anybody have any idea why this would be happening, and perhaps how to fix it?

Thanks,

Pam

Well, it seems inconsistent with giving the correct time but have you checked you've set the right time zone?

Oddly enough, that was the problem.  I've had this Dot for nearly a year and have never set the time zone.  Somehow, it has always given me the right time, and the alarm did work for most of the time I've had it.

Thank you for the tip!
