Title: Echo Dot with Bluetooth Speaker
Post by: guitar_hunter on February 28, 2019, 04:00:49 pm
I set up one of my Echo Dot's with a Bluetooth speaker and it works great for getting answers from Alexa.  When I ask Alexa to play music it does, but I can barely hear it.  I can ask Alexa what song is playing and get an answer but the sound level is so low that I have to be inches from the speaker to hear anything.  Any suggestions as to what is happening?

Some Bluetooth speakers have their own volume control. If yours does, turn it all the way up, as high as it can go. Then you can use the Echo Dot to control the output volume by saying, "Alexa volume x." (where x is 1 to 10).

The Bluetooth speaker is plenty loud when Alexa speaks, it's just the music I can't hear.  That's what has me stumped.
