Title: unexpected termination
Post by: gwwo on March 15, 2018, 12:08:54 pm
My Echo terminates radio streaming after about an hour. It is still available to receive commands and I can ask for the station immediately and it starts again. Then an hour later it stops.
It's almost as if i have set a timer but I don't think there is that facility.

I have performed a reset to factory settings but no difference.

Has anyone else had this or any ideas please.

I remember reading others having the same issue.  I believe people said that it depends on where you are streaming from the length of time it will stream EG iheartradio indefinitely and others for an hour. It is hinging on the source and what parameters they have set and not on Alexa.

You may want to look at your router settings. There may be a setting in DHCP that "re-sets" a device's connection after an hour. You'd need to check your router's manual to be sure.
