Title: Deactivate Alexa to Alexa calling
Post by: Ntaga on May 12, 2017, 09:33:05 pm
After trying this feature, I've decided it won't work for me. How do you undo this setup and remove address book data from Amazon's cloud?

think you are out of luck on this at this time.  I think you will have to contact customer service.  fortunately I did not have any info in my address book.  I used a google voice number to register.

You're absolutely right. I sent a customer service request through the app and they responded that deactivating Alexa to Alexa calling and removing contacts must be done by phone or chat.  I should have weighed the inconvenience of saying "Alexa, call Tom" vs "Alexa, call 222-222-2222" with the consequences of having lots more personal information on Amazon's servers. Using a Google voice number is a great idea and I may go back and reactivate with mine once I solve this problem.
