Title: Alexa plugs controlled by a thermostat
Post by: andym on March 09, 2019, 11:19:13 am
Hi, I have just installed infrared heating panels which I am controlling with Alexa plugs.  I want to control them via a thermostat, rather than just having them on or off.  Does anyone know if there is one on the market?

Thanks

Andy

I have not done this myself, but I think it can be done with a mix of Smartthings, a Zwave temperature sensor, and IFTTT recipe.

Absolutely can be done with Smartthings.  Amazon is trying to capture some of the smart home market even though they don't have many actual programming options.  You can turn things on and off but beyond that its very limited.
