Amazon Echo Discussion / Re: alexa plus cometh
« Last post by Joachim47 on January 19, 2024, 09:44:24 am »That's the way how companies monetize the work of necessary improvement of lackluster products under AI cover.
Amazon is reportedly planning a premium subscription for its household AI assistant Alexa. The e-commerce tech giant Amazon is reportedly planning to launch “Alexa Plus” — a paid version of its voice assistant for better and more informative results. This premium price tag may come with additional features and functionality, similar to that of ChatGPT Plus and Copilot Pro.
I've been a prime subscriber for a long long time as well... However, I am kind of locked in on their "service" as I have everyone in my household "hooked" on Amazon online Shopping. I am 59 years old and the youngest in the crowd, so I'm not thinking it would be a great idea to uproot the 85 and 87 yr old people from what they know in the tech world... Sadly, I'm not able to just up and change without some major backlash.
If it were just me, I'd have already dumped them long ago. But I also would be done with Walmart as well. I had a horrific incident with them over their self check-out only crap... so we don't shop with Walmart any longer. Screw 'em. Target is so WOKE, I hate going there... where else to go? Aldi I guess... actually we have found a Winco to buy groceries. But they don't offer online services and delivery currently... so cash and go is our grocery thing since Winco doesn't take credit cards... But I do Have good experience with Alexa and her group of products I own... Shopping Amazon still has some conveniences I can't beat. But often times I find the same items cheaper elsewhere.
