I have a Sanyo receiver that is new enough to have HDMI ports. I tried a 3.5mm jack in every port on there and it is too big! ...except for the headphone jack and it's too small for that one.
Receiver doesn't have bluetooth. Any suggestions on how to hook up the echo dot? The echo dot arrives on Monday, but I got the jack today btw.
Any suggestions on how to hook up the Dot when it arrives? I got three and the main reason I got one for the living room was to hook it up to the speakers and play Pandora
thanks!

I bought a bluetooth to RCA adapter. It works great. Look for something like this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/rocketfish-bluetooth-music-receiver-black/9976103.p?skuId=9976103
You could also buy a 3.5mm to RCA adapter, assuming the receiver has RCA jacks.
