I just installed a nest thermostat. Before I had a Honeywell thermostat. It quit working. Now when I ask Alexa what temp is in side it tells me I have 2 thermostats on my account. I can't figure out how to remove the old one. I have it disabled in the app but it still says I have 2.

remove the honeywell skill. also if you have any hubs like wink, make sure it is removed from them too.

Goto https://alexa.amazon.co.uk/spa/index.html#cards on the PC and then Smart Home / Devices
This should show all your devices and next to each there will be a "Forget" option. Use that to remove the device.
Hope that helps.

the only problem with forget is the next time alexa does a scan, it will find the forgotten device and add it back.

It "finds" it again because you haven't deleted it from the other app. That's where it finds it. Just go delete it there, go and forget it and all should be good...

Didn't have this problem when my Nest got broken and had to be replaced. I just delete it in Alexa app. I have not gone to amazon website yet, I believe.
Maybe coz the broken nest can't even be connected to WIFI, LOL that's why I had to replace it.
